Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show has added a mobile experience for its 20th-anniversary event.
The show, which this year runs from Tuesday to Thursday (Sept. 10-12) and is billed as the largest agricultural trade show in the country, now offers a mobile site for smartphone users — as well as fully-featured mobile apps for iPhone, Blackberry and Android.
The Blackberry and Android apps are now available online, while the iPhone app is available through Apple’s App Store.
The app offers show visitors the ability to customize their schedules of events and lists of exhibitors. The app also provides listings of events taking place in real time, and gives visitors the opportunity to take part in online surveys.
Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, held at Woodstock, Ont., is operated by Guelph-based Canada’s Outdoor Shows, an arm of Glacier Media. Glacier’s Canadian farm media holdings include Winnipeg’s Farm Business Communications, publishers of Country Guide, Grainews, Canadian Cattlemen, le Bulletin des Agriculteurs and the AGCanada.com network of websites, and the Saskatoon-based Western Producer.
