– United States President Donald Trump may return to the White House on Monday, according to some reports, after he was hospitalized over the weekend. Trump is being treated for COVID-19 with a number of experimental treatments, including steroids, according to his doctors. He has posted a number of videos from the hospital and also took part in photo-op on Sunday, driving past supporters in the backseat of an SUV. The photo-op was derided as a dangerous political stunt by health experts and other critics, as anyone involved are now at risk of the coronavirus and must quarantine for 14 days.

– Wildfires in California have hit a new record, with four million acres burned in the state so far this year. That was more than double the previous annual record, with fires still burning. The wildfires have killed 31 people.

– Fighting between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces continued on Monday, with both sides accusing the other of starting the latest attacks over the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The territory is within Azerbaijan, but under the control of ethnic Armenian forces since a separatist war in 1994.
