The 2021 Canadian National Junior Shorthorn Show took place in Lacombe, Alta., from July 8 to 10. The show was a great success, with over 40 juniors ranging in age from Peewee to Senior participating and more than 50 head at the show.

Juniors participated in competitions both in person and online from all across Canada. This was the first junior show that the Canadian Junior Shorthorn board planned on their own with a variety of competitions for our juniors, including: conformation, showmanship, team grooming, sales talk, card judging, show team judging, photography, literature, graphic design, public speaking and the cattlemen’s written test.

Junior Shorthorn members had the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, learn new skills, expand their knowledge and have fun!
