– A Russian airstrike on a maternity hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine is drawing condemnation as a war crime from around the world, with at least three dead and 17 wounded. Attacks on at least 18 medical facilities during the conflict-to-date have been confirmed by the World Health Organization.
– As sanctions against Russia grow, the country has announced that it will ban the re-export of numerous foreign made products that had been previously imported in an attempt to mitigate the impact of the Western actions. – The United States rate of inflation hit its highest level in four decades over the past year, rising 7.9 per cent in the latest data from the country’s Labor Department. Canada’s inflation rate currently sits at 5.1 per cent, but is also expected to rise in the coming months.
