The University of Guelph-Ontario Ag College (OAC) Beef Club had quite a tour in Alberta. Arriving September 21, they hit the ground running with their first stop at Irvine’s Western Wear.
From there the Canadian Angus Association hosted the tour Thursday morning with speakers from Canada Beef and the Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence, Canadian Cattle Association, Alberta Beef Producers, Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef and Beef Cattle Research Council.
In the afternoon they headed to Olds College for a tour of the meat shop and feedlot facilities.

Some of the stops included Westway Farms, Soderglen Ranches, Kasko Feedlot, Waldron Ranch and Perry Potato Farms.
The tour ended Monday, September 26, with a trip to the Granum Hutterite Colony followed by a stop at Cudlobe Angus.
