- Hundreds of Twitter employees were reportedly walking off the job after an ultimatum from new owner Elon Musk calling for workers to work “long hours at high intensity” or leave the company. Twitter offices will reportedly be closed over the weekend, with badge access cut.
- Canada’s Industrial Product Price Index was up by 2.4 per cent on a monthly basis in October, marking a 10.1 per cent annual increase, according to a report from Statistics Canada. The Raw Materials Price Index increased by 1.6 per cent month-over-month and was up by 9.0 per cent on the year.
- Fans attending World Cup matches in Qatar will no longer be able to drink alcohol at stadiums in a last-minute reversal of policy. The conservative Muslim country has strict rules banning the consumption of alcohol in public, but had earlier agreed to allowing access during the tournament. Alcohol will reportedly still be allowed at select licensed venues and fan destinations.
