- Rising COVID-19 cases in China are leading to renewed lockdown measures, including school and business closures in Beijing. Tighter rules for entering the capital city were also reported.
- NASA’s Artemis Orion capsule reached the moon on Monday, orbiting the far side of the lunar surface and marking the first time the United States has visited the moon in 50 years. The unmanned mission is expected to spend a week in lunar orbit before heading back to Earth.
- The Toronto Argonauts won the 109th Grey Cup game over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 24-23 in Regina on Sunday. The close game marked the 18th franchise championship win for the Argos and ended Winnipeg’s bid for a threepeat after winning the previous two cups.
