Trudeau is expected to champion women’s rights at the event. Later, he will speak to the Council of Foreign Relations about Canada/United States relations, critical minerals and Canada’s economic outlook.
– French company TotalEnergies announced today it has signed a deal to sell its Canadian operations to Suncor Energy Inc. for up to C$6.1 billion. Suncor will pay C$5.5 billion in cash as well as much as C$600 million more depending on benchmark crude oil prices. The agreement will add 135,000 barrels per day of net bitumen production capacity and 2.1 billion barrels of reserves.
