[UPDATED] Advance Tank Production Ltd. won the top award in the equipment category in the 2024 Ag In Motion Innovation Program.
The company’s biogas slurry tank was the winning entry, a high-speed emptying and filling machine that uses three pumps to load water at about 12,000 litres per minute and unload at about 16,000 litres per minute.
Biogas plants, whether on or off farm, often require the addition of manure from other farms or products to make them most efficient.
In Europe, a growing number of community biogas digesters require a tanker like this that can load and reload very quickly. This tank and its pumping system is the first of its kind in North America. Advance, a Saskatchewan company, worked with VM Tarm, a Danish company with experience in these systems in Europe, on the pumping system.
