Canadian Western Agribition has launched its 2024 recruitment campaign for volunteers with a new incentive program.

Agribition has teamed up with SaskEnergy in their shared vision of the importance and valuable role that volunteers play in the province. Starting this year, new volunteers who signed up by June 17 will be entered into a draw to win two concert tickets and a meet- and-greet with Randall King.

“Volunteers are the heart of Agribition. Their contributions are what makes our show the world-class event that it is,” says Agribition’s volunteer committee chair Mona Taylor.

Growing Canada’s beef herd: CCA’s priorities working with new federal government

This is my first column since the federal election. The Canadian Cattle Association works with all elected officials and parliamentarians, regardless…

For more than five decades, Agribition has relied on volunteer commitment to produce the calibre of event that it does. Agribition 2023 was bolstered with 339 volunteers who all shared a common passion for the event, with some having volunteered for over 50 years.

As the show continues to grow and evolve, so does the need to reach new, energetic people who want to be a part of something special. With its new volunteer incentive program, Agribition is seeking the next generation of volunteers to progress the show into the next half-century.

This year’s Agribition will take place from November 25-30, 2024, in Regina. The event is expected to need the assistance of more than 350 volunteers. Volunteer roles include opportunities in livestock, student safety, information booths, driving and hospitality. Some of the roles are adjustable for abilities and accessibilities. All roles require a minimum age of 18 years.
