- Ukraine launched its largest drone attack on Russia yet on Tuesday, targeting the Moscow region. At least one person was killed, with three out of Moscow’s four airports closed causing flights to be diverted. The nighttime strikes include attacks on residential neighbourhoods.
- Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are set to meet in their first debate Tuesday evening just two months away from the Nov. 5 election. Trump, the Republican candidate and former President, and Harris, the Democrat candidate and current Vice President, are running neck and neck in the polls.
- An Israeli airstrike on a designated safe zone in southern Gaza left at least 40 people dead and 60 wounded, according to unconfirmed reports out of the region. Many people remain missing.
