WINNIPEG, Feb. 3 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Wednesday, February 3.
– CBOT corn futures were weaker on Wednesday, with the March contract down 1.50 cents at US$3.7100 per bushel.
– Ukraine has exported roughly 24 million tonnes of grain during the 2015/16 crop year to date, according to data from the country’s agriculture ministry.
– Importers in North Carolina are set to receive two cargoes of feed wheat from South America over the next two weeks, as offshore supplies are moving into the region at a cheaper level than Midwestern grain.

– Private forecasters Informa Economics raised their estimate for Brazil’s soybean crop to 81.6 million tonnes, which was up by 300,000 tonnes from an earlier forecast. The upward revision for Argentina was even larger, with the company now pegging the corn crop there at 26.0 million tonnes – up by four million from an earlier estimate.
– Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of Lethbridge, Alberta were in the C$209 to C$215 per tonne area as of January 29, which was unchanged compared to the previous week, according to provincial reports. Feed wheat prices were in the C$222 to C$230 range, which were down slightly from the previous week.
