Winnipeg, May 6 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Friday, May 6.
– Statistics Canada pegs barley stocks as of March 31 at 3.813 million, compared with 3.402 million in 2015.
– Russia has been shipping record amounts of corn, according to reports out of the country, and export prices for feed grains have increased due to gains in the ruble.
– Delivered elevator prices for feed wheat range from C$4.78 to C$5.60 per bushel in Saskatchewan, C$5.04 to C$6.45 in Alberta, and C$5.75 in Manitoba, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire.
– The US has seen weaker exports, according to reports on Friday. Exports from September to March in this marketing year were down seven per cent from the previous year.
