WINNIPEG, June 21 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Tuesday, June 21.

– Chicago Board of Trade corn futures dropped sharply, hitting their weakest levels in a month as good Midwestern weather and fund liquidation weighed on prices.

– South Korea’s Major Feedmill Group (MFG) has purchased 112,000 tonnes of feed wheat of optional origin, likely to be sourced from Europe, according to European traders.

– Top end feed barley prices in the C$3.55 to C$4.42 per bushel range are being reported in Western Canada, a C$0.04 decrease from Monday, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire. Feed wheat remained steady with top end prices ranging from C$6.10 to C$6.48 per bushel.

– First cut haying has started for some producers in Manitoba, but recent rain and high humidity has delayed baling. Forage crops across Manitoba are growing quickly and in good condition.
