WINNIPEG, July 4 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Monday, July 4.
– Lethbridge feed wheat and barley prices have dropped due to a muted rally this spring and are likely to stay low, according to reports.
– Wheat prices hit the lowest levels on international futures exchanges in a decade due to higher than expected stocks and better than expected international wheat production, according to reports.
– Haying is underway in Saskatchewan, with seven per cent of the hay crop cut and two per cent bailed, according to the latest Saskatchewan crop report.
– Canada exported 200 tonnes of Barley in the week ending June 26, according to the Canadian Grains Commission.
– The United States produced 332,975 tonnes of corn gluten feed in May, 2016, according to the USDA grain crushing report.
– Feed barley dropped 15 cents per bushel in Saskatchewan, settling at prices as high as C$3.40 per bushel. Prices in Alberta and Manitoba remained steady with prices as high as C$4.46 and C$3.75 per bushel.
