WINNIPEG, June 12 (CNS Canada) – Forecasters have Ukraine corn exports increasing to 19 million tonnes for 2016-17, which is 14.3 per cent more than the same period last year.
From September through April, Ukraine exported 15.53 million tonnes. That puts it 1.27 million tonnes ahead of the pace set last year, said UkrAgroConsult.
Worldwide, the harvest for the present corn crop is expected to decline 3.3 per cent to 1.032 billion tonnes, according to United States Department of Agriculture estimates.
The decline is due to lower output in the U.S. Brazil, South Africa and Canada.
