WINNIPEG, Sept. 25 (CNS Canada) – Russian barley exports are up sharply in 2017, as a large domestic crop and tighter supplies in other exporting nations, including Australia, Canada, and the EU, created opportunities for the country. Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Turkey have been major customers.

Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade settled near unchanged on Monday, lacking any clear direction as traders wait to get a better handle on the size of this year’s US crop.

The USDA releases its quarterly stocks and small grains summary reports on Friday, September 29.

Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of Lethbridge, Alberta lost about C$5 per tonne over the past week, with prices ranging from C$190 to C$205 per tonne as of September 22, according to the latest pricing information from the provincial government. Feed wheat prices held steady, ranging from C$208 to C$225 per tonne in Lethbridge.
