WINNIPEG, Feb. 21 (CNS Canada) – The Canadian dollar was holding steady Thursday morning, seeing some consolidation after Wednesday’s gains.
At 8:61 CST Thursday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7589 or C$1.3177 which compares with Wednesday’s North American close of US$0.7594 or C$1.3169.
Canadian wholesale sales increased by 0.3 per cent in December, hitting C$63.1 billion, according to a report from Statistics Canada.
Crude oil was slightly softer in early activity.
The TSX was weaker Thursday morning, down 35.56 points at 8:51 CST to sit at 15,995.68.
