WINNIPEG, Oct. 12 (CNS Canada) The Canadian dollar was slightly stronger Friday morning, as gains in the outside financial markets provided support.
At 9:28 CDT Friday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7675 or C$1.3029 which compares with Thursday’s North American close of US$0.7670 or C$1.3038.
End-of-the-week positioning accounted for some of the activity, with the Canadian dollar recovering off of its recent lows. A firmer tone in crude oil was also supportive for the energy-linked currency.
