WINNIPEG, June 9 (MarketsFarm) – The Canadian dollar was slightly weaker on Tuesday morning, along with lower values for crude oil.
At 8:30 CDT Tuesday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7436 or C$1.3448, which compares with Monday’s North American close of US$0.7472 or C$1.3383.
Benchmark crude oil prices have fallen broadly after an announcement that Saudi Arabia will cease further production cuts at the end of the month. However, losses were tempered by reports of low crude oil stockpiled in the United States.
The TSX was down by 133.65 points at 8:40 CDT to trade at 15,833.00 points.
