Canadian dollar and business outlook

WINNIPEG, June 12 (MarketsFarm) – The Canadian dollar was slightly stronger on Friday morning.

     At 8:40 CDT Friday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7382 or C$1.3546, which compares with Thursday’s North American close of US$0.7378 or C$1.3553.

Global stock indices rebounded this morning following considerable losses yesterday. Concerns linger in the market regarding a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Crude oil prices started the morning slightly higher, but are expected to be down on the week due as demand for crude oil remains lower than usual.

The TSX was up by 319.54 points at 8:40 CDT to trade at 15,370.06 points.
