Canadian dollar and business outlook

WINNIPEG, Oct. 1 (MarketsFarm) – The Canadian dollar was stronger on Thursday, creeping up above 75 United States cents.

     At 9:00 CDT Thursday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7515 or US$1=C$1.3306, which compares with Wednesday’s North American close of US$0.7497 or US$1=C$1.3339.

The TSX was up 47.69 points at 9:10 CDT to trade at 16,135.13 points.

Crude oil prices were lower on Thursday as concerns of long-term demand linger. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was down by US$1.76 at US$38.46 per barrel. Brent Crude was down by US$1.56 to trade at US$40.74.
