WINNIPEG, June 8 (CNS) – The Canadian dollar ended
relatively unchanged against its U.S. counterpart on Friday. The
loonie finished at US$0.7715 or C$1.2962, compared to Thursday’s
North American close of US$0.7709 or C$1.2972.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index finished higher, rising 9.91
points, or 0.06%, to 16,202.69.
Canada’s agricultural sector performed as follows:
AGT Food and Ingredients—–dn $ 0.04 at $ 15.66
Buhler Industries————up $ 0.28 at $ 3.88
Maple Leaf Foods————-up $ 0.67 at $ 30.85
Nutrien Ltd.—————–dn $ 0.09 at $ 68.09
