Canadian Financial Close: Canadian dollar stable, TSX up

WINNIPEG, Feb. 25 (CNS Canada) – The Canadian dollar held steady on Monday, showing no movement from Friday’s close.

The Canadian dollar closed on both days as at US$0.7591
or US$1=C$1.3173.

The S&P/TSX Composite Index closed up 44.02 points at 16,574.03. This moderate lift is due to positive trade talks between the U.S. and China.

Canada’s agricultural sector faired as follows:

Buhler Industries————–up $ 0.05 at $ 3.67
Linamar Corp ——————up $ 0.01 at $ 52.24
Maple Leaf Foods—————dn $ 0.42 at $ 31.55
Nutrien Ltd. ——————up $ 1.06 at $ 59.43
Ritchie Bros Auctioneers Inc.–dn $ 0.13 at $ 48.53
Rocky Mountain Dealership Inc.-dn $ 0.06 at $ 8.81
