WINNIPEG, June 18 (CNS) – The Canadian dollar ended lower
against its U.S. counterpart on Monday, tracking losses in
natural gas and crude oil.
The loonie finished at US$0.7568 or C$1.3213, compared to
Friday’s North American close of US$0.7589 or C$1.3177.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index finished higher, rising 69.21
points, or 0.42%, to 16,383.63.
Canada’s agricultural sector performed as follows:
AGT Food and Ingredients—–up $ 0.22 at $ 15.20
Buhler Industries————dn $ 0.04 at $ 3.76
Maple Leaf Foods————-up $ 1.34 at $ 32.62
Nutrien Ltd.—————–dn $ 0.07 at $ 70.53
