Ontario’s farm business risk management agency has expanded its online reporting system to include fall-seeded grains and oilseeds.
Agricorp announced Monday that it will accept Production Insurance applications online for crops including soft white, soft red, hard red and organic winter wheat and organic winter spelt from Sept. 21 until Nov. 1.
Crops must be reported within 10 days of seeding or by Nov. 1.
The system allows farmers to report their acres 24/7, report more than one crop at a time and get immediate confirmation of their acreage reports, Agricorp said.
The online acreage reporting tool may be unavailable on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for routine maintenance, Agricorp said.
