Syngenta Crop Protection Canada has launched a new version of its Bravo fungicide for potato crops including zinc.
Bravo ZN is a broad-spectrum, chlorothalonil fungicide protecting against late blight, botrytis vine rot and early blight and can be incorporated into a preventive program, Syngenta said in a recent release.
The new formulation also includes Syngenta’s WeatherStik surfactant technology, which the company said “maximizes” the product’s ability to stick to plant surfaces after even heavy rainfall.
Bravo ZN will be available in a liquid formulation and will be marketed in 2011 in 10-litre jugs and 450-litre totes, the company said.
“Potato growers have long appreciated the disease control that Bravo delivers and have also long recognized the advantages of zinc. Bravo ZN brings these benefits together,” Fernando Olea, Syngenta Canada’s brand manager for fungicides and insecticides, said in the company’s release.
