WINNIPEG, July 29 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Friday, July 29.
– Canada exported 200 tonnes of barley for the week ending July 24.
– Anhui, China is buying mouldy and damaged wheat at above average prices to assist farmers affected by recent flooding, according to the Financial Times. Anhui expects to purchase 500,000 tonnes of poor-quality wheat for prices up to 46 per cent above the market price under the purchase plan, which will run until August.

– Producers in Alberta are starting to combine winter wheat, according to the Alberta Federation of Agriculture, while Manitoba and Saskatchewan are still struggling with too much moisture. Some areas in Southern Saskatchewan are close to taking off winter wheat, which should be dry enough in about 10 days to two weeks.
– Dryland wheat farmers in Eastern Washington are offsetting lower prices with above average yields, according to reports. Some farmers are reporting yields as high as 100 bushels per acre, compared to normal yields of 50 to 60 bushels per acre.
– Feed barley in Western Canada remained steady with top prices of C$3.05 to C$4.25 per bushel, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire. Feed Wheat also remained steady with top prices ranging from C$4.50 to C$5.99 per bushel.
