WINNIPEG, June 8 (CNS Canada) – Brazilian industry group CONAB increased its 2016/17 all-corn crop projection to 93.83 million tonnes, compared with a previous estimate of 92.83 million last month.

Dry and warm weather in Spain is expected to cause lower than average grain production, according to reports on Thursday.

Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were one to three cents per bushel higher in early activity on Thursday, underpinned by investor short-covering and investor concerns about weather in the US Midwest.

Spot prices for feed barley are between C$2.40 to C$3.90 per bushel in Western Canada, according to data from Prairie Ag Hotwire on Thursday.

Spot feed prices are between C$3.35 to C$5.55 per bushel in Western Canada.
