July 26(CNS Canada) – Scattered showers and warm weather have enabled farmers to get fieldwork done last week in many parts of the U.S., said the United States Department of Agriculture. The USDA recently lowered the U.S. corn crop condition rating to 62 per cent good or excellent, close to forecasts. Corn export sales expected to be announced Thursday, should be between 400,000 tonnes and 900,000 tonnes, almost unchanged for old crop but slightly higher to unchanged for new crop. The corn harvest is expected to begin in the southern U.S. this week.
