WINNIPEG, April 12 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Tuesday, April 12.
– CBOT corn futures were stronger on Tuesday, taking back most of Monday’s declines despite upward revisions to the US and world corn stocks projections from the USDA. The May contract was up six cents at US$3.6275 per bushel.
– The USDA pegged world The USDA raised both its world and US corn ending stocks forecasts its monthly supply/demand report. US corn ending stocks are now forecast at 1.86 billion bushels and world carryout at 208.9 million tonnes.

– The USDA raised its Argentina corn production estimate for 2015/16 to 28.0 million tonnes, from 27.0 million in March. Brazil’s corn crop was left unchanged at 84.0 million tonnes.
– Brazil exported 2.0 million tonnes of corn in March, which was a new monthly record, according to a report from the country’s Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Corn exports over the past 12 months were pegged at 35.8 million tonnes.
– Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of Lethbridge, Alberta were in the C$208 to C$215 per tonne area as of April 8, which was steady on the week, according to provincial reports. Feed wheat prices were in the C$232 to C$237 range, which was down by about three dollars on the top end.
