Aug. 29 (CNS Canada) – Here are some elevator bids for feed grains based on data from Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, in Canadian dollars per tonne:
– Feed wheat, central Alberta: This week-161.86; last week-151.29.
– Feed oats, central Alberta: This week-155.51; last week-155.51.
– Feed barley, central Alberta: This week-155.21; last week-157.56.
Other bids for feed wheat delivered to Lethbridge area last week were offering C$212-C$225, compared to C$220-C$230 the previous week.
Barley delivered to Lethbridge was at C$190-C$197, compared to C$195 to C$197 a week ago.

Corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell 2.5 cents U.S. to US$3.33.50 per bushel for the September contract. December fell 2.25 cents U.S. to US$3.48.75 and March fell 2.5 cents U.S. to US$3.61.50. Outlooks for a large U.S. corn crop continued to weigh prices. Mexico made its second corn purchase in two days, lifting optimism that buyers may enter the market to take advantage of low prices. Mexico bought 226,000 tonnes of corn today, following a sale of at least 100,000 tonnes the previous day.
Ukraine has exported five million tonnes of grains already for the 2017-18 shipping season, according to consulting firm UkrAgroConsult. That consisted of 2.37 million tonnes of wheat, 1.62 million tonnes of barley and 1.04 million tonnes of corn.
