- Canadian officials remain in discussions with the U.S. government to remove tariffs on Canadian imports as the trade war enters its third day. “Our goal is to get these tariffs — all tariffs — removed,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters in Ottawa.
- Two South Korean fighter jets taking part in a joint live-fire exercise with the U.S. military accidentally dropped eight bombs on a civilian area on Thursday, injuring eight people, said officials. The bombs fell outside of a firing range in Pocheon, a South Korean city close to the North Korean border.
