- Canada’s Farm Product Price Index was up for the eighth consecutive month in June, rising 3.7 per cent compared to the same month the previous year, according to updated data from Statistics Canada. A 11.3 per cent increase in the livestock and animal products index more than countered the 2.7 per cent drop in the crops index.
- Argentina’s libertarian party led by President Javier Milei lost a provincial election over the weekend, taking only 34 per cent of the vote. The loss to the left-leaning opposition, which secured 47 per cent of the votes, was seen as major hit to Milei ahead of midterm elections in October.
