- Chinese leader Xi Jinping is set to visit his counterpart Vladimir Putin in Russia next week, with the diplomatic meeting seen by some as a sign of Chinese support of Russia’s Ukrainian invasion. China has claimed neutrality in the conflict but has also declared a ‘no-limits’ friendship with Russia.
- An arrest warrant against former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been suspended by the Islamabad High Court, after days of clashes between security forces and supporters of the ousted leader. The warrant was issued against Khan due too his alleged involvement in a corruption case. Khan’s legal team has promised he will appear at Saturday’s court hearing without the need for an arrest warrant.

- Canada’s Industrial Product Price Index dipped by 0.8 per cent in February compared to the previous month but was still up by 1.4 per cent on an annual basis, according to a report from Statistics Canada. The Raw Materials Price Index was down by 0.4 per cent on a monthly basis and down 5.2 per cent compared to the same month a year ago.
