The market was underpinned by data showing America’s crude inventories were lower-than-expected.
The country’s crude supplies dropped 1.8 million barrels last week, reports say.
– US Monsanto Company saw better-than-expected profits in the fourth quarter, according to reports on Wednesday.
The seed and agrochemical company reported increased sales of corn seeds and traits (up eight per cent) and higher sales of soybean seeds and traits (up 10.2 per cent) in the second quarter, market watchers say.
