– An Iranian oil tanker seized in early July is now on its way from Gibraltar to Greece. The vessel, carrying 2.1 million barrels of oil, was originally seized by the British Royal Marines due to allegations it was carrying oil bound for Syria – which would be against European Union sanctions.
– The United States government will give China’s Huawei Technologies a 90-day extension to purchase supplies from U.S. companies, U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said on Monday. The extension “is intended to afford consumers across America the necessary time to transition away from Huawei equipment, given the persistent national security and foreign policy threat,” according to a statement.
