Global Markets: Trump threatens Canada with tariff hike

– On Wednesday, Russia has denied any role in the sudden leaks discovered in two Nord Stream pipelines under the Baltic Sea near Denmark. The pipelines carry natural gas from Russia to Germany. Reports said seismologists noted there were explosions that occurred just before the leaks. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said the leaks were caused by “deliberate actions,” but there is no evidence pointing to who may have been behind it. With Western Europe already facing crippling gas shortages, the loss of the two pipelines will mean increased difficulty in getting through winter.
