– Israeli forces raided a stronghold in the West Bank, killing at least five Palestinians and wounding 20 more, according to reports. The raid comes at a time of heightened tensions in the region, with targeted group said to responsible for a recent shooting of an Israeli soldier.

– An Ebola outbreak in Uganda has spread to the country’s capital Kampala, with 14 infections reported in the past two days. There have been at least 90 reported cases so far, with 44 deaths. Health officials are urging vigilance in preventing the spread of the virus, with no proven vaccine for the current strain that spreads through the transmission of bodily fluids.
