– Anti-government protests in Moldova saw thousands of people denounce the ex-Soviet state’s pro-Western leaders on Sunday. The protests were organized by supporters of exiled opposition politician Ilan Shor, with demonstrators upset over rising prices – especially for gas from Russia.
