– Weekend protests in Ottawa over vaccine mandates were described as mainly peaceful by police, although a number of incidents were reported – including protestors disrespecting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a statue of Terry Fox. Swastikas and other far-right/racist imagery were also spotted in the crowd. Vehicles continued to block most of downtown Ottawa on Monday and people were being advised to avoid the area. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is scheduled to hold a news conference later Monday morning.
