- The United States issued new rules on a national electric vehicle charger network on Wednesday seeking to provide standardized access across the country. The new rules will also provide US$7.5 billion in federal funding to grow the network, which must be built with 55 per cent of their cost coming from U.S. made components by 2024.
- Looming strikes at seven German airports have the potential to lead to “massive disruptions” in global air travel, as ground service staff, security workers, and public sector officials take job action over a wage dispute.
- Canada’s wholesale trade sales were down by 0.8 per cent in December, hitting C$82.2 billion, according to a report from Statistics Canada. However, on an annual basis the sector was up by 11.8 per cent, at C$973.1 billion.
