Glacier FarmMedia | MarketsFarm — The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

  • Voters in the United States head to the polls today to vote in their next president. Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump are vying for the country’s top job, with long lines at polling stations already being reported.

  • Striking Boeing workers voted to accept the company’s latest contract offer Monday, ending a seven-week strike that was said to have been the costliest in the U.S. in more than 25 years. The deal includes an immediate 13 per cent raise, followed by slightly smaller raises over the next three years for a total pay increase of 43 per cent over the course of the four-year contract. However, the deal did not include the restoration of a pension plan lost in 2014.
