A year after winning Reserve Champion Carload of Hereford bulls with their first NWSS carload, Harvie Ranching took home top honours.

Congratulations to Harvie Ranching of Olds, Alta., on winning the Champion Carload of Hereford Bulls at the 2025 National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado, in January. The carload show is a historic and prestigious show, with eight bulls making up a carload.

Following the carload show, the National Western Hereford Sale saw a superb sale. Their “pick of the carload” was one of the sale toppers, with Harvie Front Page selling to Lindskov Ranch of South Dakota for US$36,500. The runner-up from the “pick of the carload,” Harvie Exclusive 43M ET, was sold to RSK Farms, Bujold Farms in Manitoba and Steven Knutson, Sask. The remainder of the carload sells in their annual Hereford and Charolais bull sale on March 11, near Olds.

Harvie Ranching has been a competitor at the National Western Stock Show for many years. Last year they brought their first carload of bulls and were thrilled to be named Reserve Champion.
