The Canadian Charolais Association (CCA) celebrated the return of Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) by presenting a bronze to mark Agribition’s 50th anniversary. Kasey Phillips (CCA president) along with Craig Scott (CCA general manager) presented a Ken Fredrickson bronze to Chris Lane (CWA CEO) and Chris Lees (CWA president) during the Charolais National Show at Agribition.
The CCA also acknowledged three 2021 scholarships recipients at the National Show during Agribition. Regan McLeod was awarded the 2021 Dale Norheim Scholarship while Haley Rosso and Kailey Wirstra were recipients of the Canadian Charolais Association scholarships.
Finally, the CCA’s own Dale Weinbender of Canora, Sask. reigned supreme in the Charolais International Youth Development Competition, placing first in the photography portion of the competition this fall. Dale was awarded $1,000, a Charolais International Award and a Canadian Charolais Association swag bag presented by CCA’s general manager, Craig Scott.
