We are saddened to share that Elizabeth Peto of Blind Bay, B.C., passed away on March 30, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with diabetes.

Peto was deeply engaged in the communities in which she lived. She taught in Delta, B.C., for several years. She also farmed with Howard, raising Angus cattle. She was very involved in the B.C. and Canadian Angus Associations, and chaired the Canadian Angus Foundation from 2004-07. She was also active in her church, both in Delta and in Sorrento.

She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Peto’s celebration of life was held May 10 in Sorrento, B.C. Those wishing to honour her memory may donate to one of her beloved places, the Sorrento Centre, at sorrentocentre.ca.
