Seedstock producers gathered early last month to show their cattle at Farmfair in Edmonton, Alta.
- WWC Kayo 581K was the Salers Grand Champion Bull. Congratulations to Tierra Sol Cattle Company.
- Miller Wilson Angus along with partners Freeway Angus/Arda Farms had Supreme Champion Bull at Farmfair International with DMM Rollin’ North 62J.
- Miss Prairie Cove 204K ET, sired by CCC WC Redemption 7143 Pld ET, owned by Prairie Cove Charolais of Bashaw, Alta., was selected as Grand Champion Charolais Female at Farmfair International.
- Judge PJ Budler, Fort Worth, Texas, then selected Miss Prairie Cove 328L, sired by SVY Trust 6H, as Reserve Grand Champion Charolais Female of this 40-entry BOSS show.
- The Grand Champion Bull was PCC Charge On 317L, sired by CCC WC Redemption 7143 Pld ET, owned by Prairie Cove Charolais.
- The Reserve Champion Charolais Bull was SOS Kickstart Pld 825K, sired by SOS Apex Pld 139F, owned by Springside Cattle Co., Airdrie, Steppler Farms, Miami, Man. and Pete Peters, Souris, P.E.I.
- Prairie Cove Charolais also won the Grand Champion Pair of Heifers at the start of the Charolais show on Nov. 10. Judge PJ Budler, Fort Worth Texas, selected Miss Prairie Cove 328L, sired by SVY Trust 6H, and Miss Prairie Cove 306L, sired by RBM Keystone H41.
- The Reserve Champion Pair of Charolais Heifers was Harvie Ms. Hilda 45L, sired by SOS Jackpot Pld 158J, and Harvie Ms Gellia 43L, sired by Turnbull’s Jabba 25J, exhibited by Harvie Ranching, Olds, Alta.
