Congratulations to Teegan Hyndman of Hamiota, Man., for winning the $1,000 scholarship presented by the Manitoba Youth Beef Roundup.
Hyndman and her family operate a multi-generational Hereford operation. She is attending Niagara College in Welland, Ont., to pursue a degree in sports management and graphic design in ag promotions while playing on the women’s volleyball team. Hyndman is a delegate on the Canadian Junior Hereford Association National Council, and in July 2024, she was a co-chair of the National Junior Hereford Show. She is also on the Manitoba Junior Hereford Association board, serving in various executive positions over the last few years. Hyndman spends her spare time volunteering at volleyball camps and being an active member of the Hereford Association. She wants to continue to be active and involved in the beef industry in years to come.
Please plan to attend Roundup 2025 in Neepawa, Man., August 1-3, 2025. The event is open to junior livestock members who are interested in an educational weekend with competitions and cattle shows.
