The Canadian Junior Angus Association would like to thank JJL Livestock (the Loveridge family) of Melville, Sask., for donating Red JJL Miss Deal 417M to the association’s scholarship fund. Congratulations to Justamere Farms who took the heifer home. Thanks as well to everyone who supported this very successful fundraiser. In other news, the Canadian Angus Foundation is awarding two scholarships, totalling $5,000, to two youths. Maartje van Lindert of Spallumcheen, B.C., will receive $3,000 and Kasen Wilson of Drumheller, Alta. (see below), will receive $2,000. We are so proud and excited to recognize these two deserving individuals. For more information on scholarships, visit the Canadian Angus website.
