The Salers Association of Canada held a very successful annual general meeting on August 13 in Calgary.
Executive for 2022-23 includes: Peter Watkins (president), James Yakemchuck (vice-president). Gar Williams (magazine and 50th anniversary), Travis Depalme (treasurer). Directors include Debbie Grundke, Cody Isley (newly elected) and Brian Walker.

A reminder as well that the Salers Association of Canada is offering $4,750 in scholarships to youth pursuing further education. The scholarships available include:
- 2022 Salers Association of Canada Scholarship – one scholarship of $750.
- 2022 Salers Association of Canada.
- Farmfair Scholarships – two scholarships of $500 and two scholarships of $1,500.

Canadian Charolais Association scholarships
The deadline for the Canadian Charolais Association scholarships is fast approaching.
For youth taking agriculture in a post-secondary school (either college or university), two Canadian Charolais Association scholarships of $1,000 each and the $1,500 Dale Norheim Memorial scholarship are available. Either the applicants or their family must be using a Charolais bull. Applications must be in by October 31. Please check out charolais.com/association/scholarships for more information.
